Pair Staffordshire Grey Cats with Glass Eyes

Edwardian, circa 1910. Tallest is 12.2ins high, 7.9ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a cat with glass eyes, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Bright gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Right facing: Good.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.

RESTORATION. Replacement glass eyes.

Left facing: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack along the mold join;

a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
