Circa 1890. 15.4ins high, 15.4ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Alfred Renoleau French Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a large lobster and seaweed.
Colouration: green, brown, black, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Alfred Renoleau pottery.
(Impressed, 'Angouleme' with LA monogram above.)
CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the seaweed.
RESTORATION. Remodelled leg.
One leg reglued and join retouched.
Reglued chip to rim.
