Victorian, circa 1871. 7.7ins high, 7.1ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Minton Majolica flower holder which features a young child, holding a bird nest, stood on a plinth.
Colouration: cobalt blue, turquoise, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1577'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: two small shrinkage cracks to the ground.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to two of the holders.
Head reglued and join retouched.
The figure reglued and joins retouched through ankles and tree stump.
