Victorian, circa 1870. 6.3ins high, 11ins wide, 8.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica game pie dish which features a partridge on the cover with barley and stiff leaf decoration to the dish.
Rare, Indigo ground version.
Colouration: indigo, green, brown, are predominant.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim and 3 chips to inner rim.

small firing pits to the leaves.
RESTORATION. 5 sections reglued and joins retouched.
