Majolica Picket Fence and Vine Jardiniere and Stand

Victorian, circa 1880. 7.3ins high, 8.1ins wide, 8.1ins depth. Majolica planter and stand which features grape and vine leaves on a picket fence effect ground.

Colouration: brown, green, are predominant.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Jardiniere: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to interior;

two shrinkage lines to the rim interior (not visible to exterior).

RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim.

Stand: Generally good.

Slight wear to interior.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.

Filled chip to lower base rim.

Retouched flakes to upper rim.
