Pair Majolica Moon Vases with Birds

Circa 1880. Tallest is 11.4ins high, 9.1ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Pair of Majolica vases which feature a bird on branch on one side, a blackbird on the other. Branch handles with corn entwined.

Colouration: turquoise, brown, grey, are predominant.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good.

RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to bird's wing

and footed base.

Vase 2: Generally good. RESTORATION. Remodelled section to rim.

Reglued blackbird's wing

and section of footed base.

Retouched flakes to bird's wing and footed base.
