Victorian, circa 1870. 8.75ins high, 11.5ins wide. Large Staffordshire hen on nest tureen. Modeled as a colorful hen sitting on her eggs on top of a basket.



The hen forms the cover, and the yellow glazed basket forms the dish. Cream interior.











Painted mark on the underside edge of hen.

Condition

Good. No restoration. No hairlines. No chips.

A couple of flakes to underside edge of hen.



Kiln effects: small shrinkage crack to hen interior;



several small glaze misses around the inside rim of dish.
