Wonderfully worked scene depicts three figures, a cat in the foreground, a cottage behind, a ship sailing out to sea in the background. The male figure in the scene appears to be wearing tartan, suggesting a Scottish origin. Also noteworthy are the seated ladies red shoe and little handbag. Framed in an old, gilded, gesso frame with glass.
