17th Century Antique Silkwork Appliqué. The appliqué has tent stitched silkwork slips/motifs, sewn onto a silk ground. A wonderful set of slips/motifs, including: a rose, a lion, a leopard, a stag, birds, insects, rabbits, flowers and leaves. Framed in an old, gilded, gesso frame with rippled, old glass. The silkwork panel is stitched to a white backing material.
