Pair of Brard French Palissy Majolica plates which feature fish and seashells placed out on a white ground. One of the plates, unusually, also features a langoustine. Hand painted, blue-glazed geometric borders around the edges. Colouration: white, blue, yellow, are predominant.
Maker: Léon Brard
French maker - Part of the School of Tours ceramic boom and considered to be the leading ceramist in Tours from the 1860s to 1880s.
