This pithy epithet is typical. And if she did would such behaviour from an employee have been acceptable?<\/p>\n<p>Or would she\u00a0ask her employer,\u00a0the girl&#8217;s mother, to choose a text? Could it have come from\u00a0the bible,\u00a0a treatise, a play, a sermon, a magazine, a newspaper?<\/p>\n<p>I could not help but google a phrase\u00a0trying to\u00a0find the source.\u00a0And\u00a0here it is. Probably an &#8216;approved&#8217;\u00a0publication widely read by ladies of the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/madelena.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/sampler-verse-source-ALL-SOURCE.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-266\" style=\"width: 513px;\" src=\"https:\/\/madelena.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/sampler-verse-source-ALL-SOURCE-266x300.JPG\" alt=\"sampler verse source ALL SOURCE\" width=\"266\" height=\"503\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>My guess is that seven year old Ann was curious about insects, flies in particular.
