William Moorcroft started designing in 1897, moving into his own factory in 1913. Production from the Moorcroft Pottery continues to the present day. Our focus is on pottery manufactured during the lifetime of William Moorcroft. From the beginning of his career in 1896, working for James Macintyre & Co Ltd., through to the end of his career working for himself at the factory he founded.
Stylistically, his early Art Nouveau Florian Ware designs were replaced by more Impressionist designs later on.
