
Victorian, circa 1860. 10.4ins high, 5.5ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery group with a theatrical and literary theme which features Uncle Tom with Eva,
seated on a shaped base.
The piece is titled,
'UNCLE TOM' .
Dull gilt title and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
This piece represents a scene from the novel, 'Uncle Toms Cabin' by Harriet Beecher Stowe. The book told the story of the slaves and their masters.

CONDITION: Good.
Some small flakes to hat.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to legs, ankles, feet and his waist;
kiln soot caught in the glaze to Eva.
