Staffordshire Pearlware Pottery Venus Figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 8.7ins high, 3.7ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figure with a mythological theme which features Venus

with a small child and dolphin, stood on a square base.

Multi-coloured version. Painted base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Two small chips to the reverse and a few to the base.

A few paint losses to the dolphin.

KILN EFFECTS: small stain to the left side of the base.
