
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.3ins high, 4.9ins wide, 2ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a boy and girl both riding a horse, leaping over fence, stood on a shaped base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the reverse.
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the reverse;
touch mark to the boy's right arm.
Left facing: Good. No restoration. Small flake to horse's left ear.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
