Staffordshire Pottery Rabbit Eating Lettuce

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a rabbit,

seated directly on the ground, no base.

Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration.

Small flake to left ear.

A few paint losses to leaf and muzzle.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze all over;

glaze misses to the base edge;

firing crack to the underside;

glaze fading to some of the black.
