Pair Staffordshire Spaniel Head Sash Window Stops

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 4.7ins high, 4.5ins wide, 4.7ins depth.

Pair of Staffordshire Pottery sash window stops which feature a spaniel's head, resting directly on the ground, no base.

Russet and white version. Orange lustre embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Vent holes to the underside.

Maker's marks 'X', impressed to underside.

CONDITION: Left: Good.

Minor paint losses to spaniel's face.

Some rubbing to lustre.

Slight wear to reverse.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to reverse edge and back of dog's head.

Retouching to nose.
