British Creamware-Style Pottery Ewe with Lamb Figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 3.7ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3.3ins depth. English or Scottish Creamware-Style Pottery figure with a pastoral theme

which features a ewe and lamb, recumbent on a shaped base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Small chip to one leaf.

Some flakes to lower base edge.

KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the base and top of ewe's head;

shrinkage line to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Lamb's leg remodelled.

Filled chip to lamb's ear and ewe's ear.

Retouched flake to ewe's tail and other ear.
