JFS Palissy Majolica Fish Wall Plate

Circa 1890. 11.8ins high, 11.8ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Jose Francisco de Sousa Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features six fish.

Colouration: green, grey, cream, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Jose Francisco de Sousa pottery.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Some flakes to shredded clay ground.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to two tail fins.
