
Circa 1880. 14.8ins high, 14.8ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Unidentified French Majolica wall plate which features fish (pike, perch), an eel, a snake, a frog and insects.
Colouration: blue, green, brown, are predominant.
CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze;
shrinkage crack to tail fin;
flecks of stray coloured glaze.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to pike's gill.
