
Victorian, circa 1890. 8.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 3ins depth. Mafra Majolica wall plaque which features toads and geckos.
Colouration: green, brown, orange, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Flaking to shredded clay.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. Both gecko's heads reglued and join retouched.
Filled chips to foot rim.
