Rare Large Majolica Palissy Lizard Figure

Victorian, circa 1890. 2.4ins high, 16.5ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Portuguese Palissy Majolica figure which features a lizard.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Front left foot and both rear feet reglued and join retouched.

Front and rear left legs reglued and joins retouched.

Section to tail reglued and join retouched.

Retouching to flakes.
