
Victorian, circa 1869. 7.1ins high, 19.3ins wide, 9.8ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica centrepiece bowl which features putti at either end,
holding garlands, supporting a lattice worked bowl.
Colouration: turquoise, pink, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1869.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Some small flakes to the upper base.
KILN EFFECTS: firing crack to the underside;
craze line to the one putti shoulder.
RESTORATION. Remodelled part of rim and three ends of garlands.
Stabilised and retouched cracks to rim.
Filled chips to feet.
Retouched paint losses.
