B&L German Majolica Figural Dog Bottle

Circa 1890. 12.4ins high, 5.3ins wide, 4.3ins depth. B & L Majolica figural bottle which features a dog in hunting attire, carrying a rifle and smoking a pipe.

The pipe forms a pouring spout. The dog's hat forms the lid. Colouration: brown, red, grey, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the B & L pottery. Bears a pattern number, '2373'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the some of the glazes.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to dog's right ear and filled chip to brim of hat.
