
Circa 1880. 12.6ins high, 17.9ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Luneville (attributed) French Palissy Majolica platter which features fish (gurnard's) and eels in a rock pool.
Colouration: blue/grey, puce, brown, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Very minor wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze-filled shrinkage crack to one tail fin;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze;
craze line to the ground, only present to the front.
