George Jones Majolica Monkey Teapot

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.9ins high, 9.8ins wide, 3.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica teapot which features a handle in the form of a monkey.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, brown, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '3450 30'.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. RESTORATION. Finial reglued and join retouched.

Filled chip to finial and corners.

Teapot: Generally good. Staining from use to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the exterior.

RESTORATION. Two small stabilised and retouched hairlines to rim.

Filled chips to spout.
