
Victorian, circa 1880. 11.4ins high, 8.9ins wide, 4.5ins depth. Thomas Sergent Majolica jug/pitcher which features a lizard, leaves, shells and a dragon-headed handle.
Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Thomas Sergent pottery.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Some small flakes to dragon's head, one shell and one leaf.
Slight wear to exterior.
KILN EFFECTS: patches of cloudiness to the brown glaze.
RESTORATION. Handle reglued and join retouched.
Stabilised and retouched crack running from top of handle to base of pitcher.
