Mintons Majolica Bamboo Teapot (small)

Victorian, circa 1876. 5.7ins high, 5.1ins wide fd, 3.9ins depth. Mintons Majolica teapot which features bamboo decoration and handle.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Mintons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '619'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1876.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Teapot: Very good. No restoration. Tiny flake to end of spout.

Cover: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the flange.
