
Victorian, circa 1865. 10.4ins high, 17.3ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Minton Majolica centrepiece bowl which features two mermaids
supporting a large shell, with seaweed to the base.
Colouration: turquoise, brown, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1182'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1865.
CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.
Tight hairline to garland.
Small flake to interior, by a mermaid's draped hair.
Slight wear to interior.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.
