Minton Majolica Putti Centrepiece Vase

Victorian, circa 1871. 14.2ins high, 14.2ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Minton Majolica centrepiece vase which features two putti carrying amphora shaped vase.

Colouration: turquoise, cream, cobalt blue, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '1517'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Slight wear to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: some patchy staining to the putti.

RESTORATION. Front putti's hands and sticks reglued and join retouched.

Remodelled end of left stick to putti at the back.
