
Victorian, circa 1873. 2.8ins high, 5.3ins wide, 5.3ins depth. George Jones Majolica cup & saucer which features white blossom (this cup forms part of the Monkey tea set).
Colouration: cobalt blue, white, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3465'. English diamond registration mark for the date 28/04/1873.
CONDITION: Cup: Very good. No restoration. Slight wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the rim.
Saucer: Very good. No restoration. Wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior and underside.
