
Victorian, circa 1870. 5.5ins high, 10.8ins wide, 9.8ins depth. George Jones Majolica strawberry server and spoons which features a bird perched on a branch, with a nest either side.
A sugar sifter spoon, a ladle for cream and a larger spoon for strawberries.
Colouration: green, brown, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 08/03/1870.
CONDITION: Server: Good. RESTORATION. Bird reglued and joins retouched.
Spoon: Generally good. Two small flakes to end of handle.
RESTORATION. Handle reglued and join retouched.
Retouched flakes to edge of spoon.
Sugar spoon: Generally good. Slight wear to handle.
RESTORATION. Handle reglued and join retouched.
Filled chips to edge of spoon.
Cream spoon: Good. No restoration. Small flake to edge of spoon.
