
Victorian, circa 1863. 7.9ins high, 7.5ins wide, 4.1ins depth. Minton Majolica salt which features grape vines supporting two shells with a frog underneath.
Colouration: green, yellow, white, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1108'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1863.
CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base;
glaze miss to the base.
RESTORATION. A few very minor filled chips to shells and to tip of one leaf.
