
Victorian, circa 1882. 4.3ins high, 10.6ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Wedgwood Argenta Majolica sardine box which features rolling waves,
fish, shells, coral and a boat handle to the cover.
Colouration: cream, brown, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1882.
CONDITION: Cover: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the top.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim running across under boat.
Retouched flakes to rim of boat.
Dish: Good.
Some small flakes to lower rim.
KILN EFFECTS: staining to the underside (not visible from above).
RESTORATION. Filled chip to outer rim and two to inner rim.
