
Circa 1810. 17ins by 4.25ins wide. Sampler by Mary Fulto. (probably Fulton, but missing the 'n' on the end.)
Framed in a modern wood frame with glass.
Fixed to card with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in wool on linen ground, in cross stitch and Algerian eye.
No border, divider lines in various patterns. Colours green, red and brown.
Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-6.

A few motifs including potted flowering plants, dogs and strawberries.
CONDITION: Good.
A few patchy stains.
No stitch losses, just one loose thread.
Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined.
No colour run.
Neatly and evenly stretched.
Frame showing slight wear, otherwise sound.
