Victorian, circa 1860. 3.7ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery tureen with cover which features a hen, seated on a basket base.

Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

CONDITION: Hen: Good. No restoration.

A few paint losses to hen's head and tail.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the underside;

glaze missing to both sides of the base rim where they have been ground down.

Nest: Good. No restoration.

Paint losses to basket.

Slight wear to exterior and interior rim.
