
Victorian, circa 1860. 7.1ins high, 2.4ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery quill holder with a childhood theme
which features a weeping boy and rabbits, stood on a circular base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Tiny flake to brim of hat
and boy's finger.
Some rubbing to gilt.
Very slight wear to the back of the boy's head.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.
RESTORATION. Boy reglued and joins retouched at ankles.
Retouched flakes to lower base edge.
Retouching to paint losses.
