Wood Staffordshire Creamware Charity Figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 8.3ins high, 2.8ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Wood family Staffordshire Pottery pearlware group with a religious theme which features a lady holding an infant in her arms and a child by her side, stood on a shaped base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Open bottomed.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the lady' neck and right arm;

uneven glaze application in places.

RESTORATION. Infant's head reglued and join retouched.

Reglued and retouched chip to base.
