
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 12.2ins high, 9.8ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a spaniel,
seated on a tasselled cushion base.
Russet and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent holes to reverse and underside.
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the reverse;
finger print to left ear;
shrinkage crack along the mold join to top of head;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the edge of base;
craze line on the reverse, by the vent hole.
Left facing: Good.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the face and reverse;
shrinkage line along the mold join to top of head;
over glazed chip to the edge of base.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to base edge.
