
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.3ins high, 4.7ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery groups which feature a spaniel and begging pup, seated on a tasselled cushion base.
Black and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent holes to the underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze filled shrinkage crack to the base and the bottom of the spaniel;
a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the front of the base;
fleck of stray coloured cobalt glaze to the reverse.
RESTORATION. Small retouched paint losses the black and green enamel.
Left facing: Good. Tiny chip to the front lower base edge.
KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pop to the front of the base;
thin glaze application to spaniel's right ear.
