
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 11.4ins high, 8.3ins wide, 3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery spill vases which feature a zebra,
stood on a shaped base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front.
CONDITION: Right facing: Good.
Two tiny chips to lower base edge on reverse.
Very slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to top of base and front of spill;
firing hole to behind front right leg.
RESTORATION. Retouching to some of the black enamel.
Left facing: Good.
Small chip to green shredded clay
and reverse of lower base edge.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to front of spill
and around horse's right hind hoof.
RESTORATION. Retouching to some of the black enamel.
