
Victorian, circa 1840. 6.7ins high, 11ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Copeland & Garrett Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a fine quality hunting dog,
with a gun and game birds, recumbent on a shaped base.
Dull gilt base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Maker's marks to the underside.
CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the dog;
glaze pops to the ground.
End of tail remodelled.
Stabilised and retouched cracks to base.
Retouched paint losses to black spots on the dog.
