Pair Staffordshire Spaniel With Bow Jug/Pitchers

Victorian, circa 1870. Tallest is 7.7ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3ins depth.

Pair of Staffordshire Pottery jug/pitchers which feature a spaniel with a bow, seated directly on the ground, no base.

Russet and white version. Bright gilt embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front.

Maker's marks painted to the underside.

Condition

Right facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.

Slight wear to the rim.

RESTORATION. Minor retouched paint losses paws and face.

Left facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.

Slight wear to the rim.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed crack to reverse, near the bottom.

RESTORATION. Minor retouched paint losses markings and face.
