
Circa 1890. 15.6ins high, 15.6ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Mafra Majolica wall plate which features an eel and three fish.
Colouration: brown, green, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Good. Small flake to moth's right front leg.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ground.
Shrinkage crack to fin.
RESTORATION. Remodelled head to eel.
Filled chip to eel's tail fin and smaller fish's gills.
