Thomas Sergent Majolica Palissy Fish Platter

Victorian, circa 1875. 9.4ins high, 13.8ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Thomas Sergent French Palissy Majolica wall platter which features three fish, a lizard, a snake and a frog.

Colouration: green, brown, blue, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Thomas Sergent pottery.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: over glazed break to smallest fish tail fin.

RESTORATION. Largest fish dorsal fin reglued and join retouched.

Filled chip to fin on middle fish.
