
Circa 1890. 8.7ins high, 10.2ins wide, 10.6ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica hanging basket which features a lizards poking it's head out a hole in the bottom, geckos, a grub and a beetle.
Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Good. Small chip to beetle's horn.
Some flakes to ground, around hanging holes and to interior.
Small flake to gecko's nose.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to lizard's nose.
