
Circa 1890. 10.4ins high, 10.4ins wide, 1.4ins depth. French Palissy Majolica oyster plate which features six oyster wells moulded as fish heads,
with fish scale pattern to the ground.
Colouration: pale blue, ochre, brown, are predominant.
CONDITION: Plate 1: Good. No restoration.
Very tight hairline to rim mainly visible to under rim.
Flaking to outer rim, raised moldings to interior
and foot rim.
Plate 2: Good. No restoration.
Bruise to central well.
Flaking to raised moldings and foot rim.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage crack to the rim.
