Rare Set Thomas Sergent Majolica Palissy Oyster Plates

Circa 1880. Tallest is 8.5ins high, 8.5ins wide, 0.8ins depth. Set of four Thomas Sergent Majolica oyster plates which feature six oyster wells

moulded as fish heads with bulrush decoration inbetween.

Colouration: blue, green, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Thomas Sergent pottery.

Plate 3: Good. No restoration.

Flake to the rim.

Plate 4: Good.

Restoration: stabilised hairline.
