
Circa 1870. 11ins high, 15.9ins wide, 1.6ins depth. Longchamp French Palissy Majolica platter which features a pike, a lizard,
a crayfish, frogs and leaves to the front.
Colouration: green, blue, ochre, are predominant.
CONDITION: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the underside.
Shrinkage crack to one leaf
and to one crayfish claw;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the front.
RESTORATION. Remodelled dorsal and tail fin to pike.
Filled chip to tail of smaller fish.
