Small Majolica Palissy Toad Figure

Circa 1890. 1ins high, 2.2ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Portuguese Palissy Majolica figural which features a toad.

Colouration: green, brown, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Some tiny flakes to the toad's back and eyes.

KILN EFFECTS: firing cracks to back legs and head;

stilt marks to the underside.

RESTORATION: Retouched flake to underside of toad's right back foot.
